Duties
  • Reception duties including: patient check-in, entering and verifying demographic information in EHR, scanning insurance cards and photo ID, collecting copays and patient payments, scheduling follow-up appointments, patient check-out, answering phone calls, scheduling patient appointments over the phone, preparing provider schedules, making patient reminder calls, entering and contacting new patient consult requests, and reconciling cash drawer daily.
  • Additional duties include: maintaining cleanliness of patient areas, monitoring supply levels and re-ordering when needed, making coffee and monitoring the water dispensing system.
  • The clinic is small, therefore, the expectation is that everyone will work to ensure that all tasks are completed to make the clinic run smoothly and efficiently.

Hours
  • Shift start time: 6:45am – 8:00am
  • Shift end time: Monday – Thursday varies between 4:00pm and 5:00pm; Friday varies between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.

QualificationsLicense/Certificates
  • CMA, LPN or RN with a current certificate or license. The job duties can be performed by a CMA, LPN or RN, therefore, there is no hierarchy based on licensure.

Duties
  • Assisting the provider with the patient visit including: rooming the patient, taking a history, scribing during the visit on an iPad, assisting with procedures, drawing blood, giving post-care instructions and preparing specimens for pick-up.
  • Visit follow-up duties including: sending prescriptions, sending referrals, obtaining prior-authorizations, calling patients with lab and pathology results, answering patient questions, requesting medical records, uploading medical records, sending medical records and scheduling surgeries.
  • Additional duties include: sterilizing instruments, laundry, cleaning exam rooms between patients and at the end of the day, stocking exam rooms and monitoring supplies for re-order.
  • The clinic is small, therefore, the expectation is that everyone will work to ensure that all tasks are completed to make the clinic run smoothly and efficiently.

Hours
  • Shift start time: 6:45am – 7:00am
  • Shift end time: Monday – Thursday varies between 4:15pm and 5:00pm; Friday varies between 2:15pm and 3:00pm
