Body Sculpting with
Transform is an innovative non-invasive, hands-free treatment that builds and strengthens muscles while enhancing the appearance of the skin by tightening the tissue, stimulating collagen production, and shrinking the fat without needles or surgery. This dual technology delivers a no downtime alternative for sculpting and refining the body in the comfort of the clinic. It is the perfect combination treatment for all areas and body types.
Transform utilizes electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to induce forced muscle contractions that are not achievable during workouts. Simultaneously, Transform leverages bipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the tissue causing contraction of the deep skin layers, increase blood flow, and stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin throughout the treatment area.
This combination treatment provides the multiple benefits of strengthening and toning the muscles, reducing fat, and improving the overall tone of the skin with each session. Transform is an excellent solution to reduce fat and improve muscle tone in those areas that attain little improvement with traditional exercising, such as the upper and lower back.
What to Expect
Treatments require minimal preparation, deliver minimal discomfort, and there is no downtime. Transform is recommended for patients who are seeking a non-invasive method to treat skin and sculpt muscles. During the treatments, the body’s temperature is constantly monitored with real-time updates to prevent injury to the skin. Transform is designed with a patient call button so you can easily pause your treatment at any time and have clinic staff make adjustments to ensure your comfort.
Transform can sculpt any part of the body, but the most popular treatment areas are:
Depending on your specific goals, you and your practitioner will create a custom plan based on your personal objectives to obtain optimal results. Typically, the best results with Transform are seen in six 30- to 60-minute weekly treatments. To maintain results, single maintenance treatments may be needed every 1-3 months. Thicker skin may be more fibrotic and require more sessions.
During the session ultrasonic gel is applied to the individual applicators and they are strapped to the treatment area. You will feel a warm sensation on the skin and contraction of the muscles.
Avoid skin irritation, intentional skin tanning or sunless tanning in the treatment area(s).
Discontinue any topical skin irritants 2-3 days prior to treatment.
No laser resurfacing, deep chemical peels, or surgery within 3 months to the treatment area(s).
If treatment area(s) is exposed to sun, we recommend sunscreen when outdoors. If the skin is sunburned, the treatment will need to be rescheduled.
Treatment cannot be performed if you have an active infection or rash in the treatment area(s). If you do, please call the clinic to reschedule your appointment.
If hair is present in the treatment area(s), this should be shaved 24 hours prior to the treatment.
Arrive for the treatment with clean skin. Do not apply lotion, make up, perfume, powder, or bath/shower oils on the treatment area prior to the procedure.
Pre-treatment photos, measurements, and body weight will be recorded in your medical chart.
Immediately following the Transform treatment, it is common to experience a slight redness (erythema) and swelling (edema) in the treatment area, resulting in a “tight” sensation of the skin. This will subside in a few hours. It is uncommon but you may also experience crusting, blisters, burns, change in pigmentation (hyperpigmentation and/or hypopigmentation), and scarring.
DO NOT cool the treatment area after the procedure. Avoid very hot water and a heating pad for 2 days.
You may feel muscle aches and/or muscle spasms immediately after treatments and up to several days following the treatment. It often feels like the pain you would feel after a hard work out. You may take over the counter pain medications. You may also massage the area.
Treat the skin gently. Avoid scrubbing the treated area or exposing it to trauma. Use gentle cleansers and apply a moisturizer daily. Use sunscreen when outdoors.
Contact the office with any questions, concerns, or if there is any sign of infection such redness, fever, pain, pus, and excessive swelling.
