Do you find it difficult to decide what products you should be using on your skin? Are the expensive products worth it?

Skin care products are highly marketed to attract customers, however how do we choose the right products to take good care of our skin? The skin care aisle in the store is very overwhelming.

Here at Central Minnesota Dermatology, we make it easy for you and have a list of our preferred skin care products and routine.

5 Gentle ways to care for your skin!

  1. Avoid hot water. Wash your face and body with lukewarm water.
  2. Do not scrub with a washcloth, loofah or brush.
  3. Apply little to no soap on the areas of the body that are not significantly dirty. Most adults do not need to wash their arms and legs daily and doing so can contribute to dry skin.
  4. Avoid bath bombs, bubble baths or other products in the bathtub.
  5. Pat dry with a soft bath towel and apply a good moisturizer immediately after.
